Honest baseline

The rule that every recorded % move must start from a real stored data point with real from→to dates - and if none exists, the surface shows nothing rather than an estimate.

What it means

Every percentage THE ENTITY quotes from its record - a price range, a conviction trajectory, a “+X% since” - is computed between two actually-stored data points and labelled with both dates. When the record does not contain a starting point for the window claimed (a young record, a name added recently, a lane that had an outage), there is no honest baseline - and the rule is that the surface sits out: it shows nothing, or a shorter measured span with its true dates, rather than backfilling or extrapolating a number the mechanism cannot back. This is why some ranges read “measured over 5 days” instead of “1M”, and why young figures carry small denominators.

Why it matters to investors

The quiet lie in most performance claims is the baseline - a convenient start date makes any line look good. A system that would rather show a gap than an unbacked number is telling you its other numbers mean what they say.

THE ENTITY maps every constraint onto one live model - which part is tight now, who owns it, and who gets squeezed when it moves. Plain-English reads you can check.

THE ENTITY is an educational read on the AI supply chain - research, not investment advice. It explains how the chain works and who sits where, never price targets or buy/sell calls.
