Streak

How many consecutive recorded nights a company has held its current verdict - a measure of persistence, read straight off the immutable record.

What it means

A streak counts consecutive recorded nights at the same verdict: “STRONG BUY, 12 nights” means twelve immutable rows in a row said the same thing. Because the record is written before the next day’s prices exist and is never back-dated, a streak cannot be manufactured after the fact - it is simply what the stored rows show. Streaks matter because the engine’s churn gate makes verdict changes deliberate: a long streak means the reading has survived many nights of fresh news, prices and smart-money sweeps, while a short streak flags a call that is still young.

Why it matters to investors

Persistence is information. A conviction call that has held for weeks through fresh data is a different proposition from one printed last night - the streak tells you which you are looking at, with dates to check.
