Whipsaw / flip

A flip is a recorded verdict change; a whipsaw is flipping back and forth on noise - which the engine’s churn gate is built to resist.

What it means

A flip is when a company’s recorded verdict changes band - HOLD to ACCUMULATE, STRONG BUY to TRIM. A whipsaw is the failure mode: flipping on every headline and reversing days later, which shreds trust and any portfolio that follows it. THE ENTITY’s engine resists whipsaw structurally: a verdict flips only on a large score move (≥12 points night-over-night) or when the new reading persists into a second consecutive night, so a one-day spike that fades leaves the verdict unchanged.
