Integrated Service Technology, based in Hsinchu, is an independent verification and analysis lab embedded in Taiwan's semiconductor ecosystem. It does the work that sits between designing a chip and trusting it — failure analysis, reliability testing, and signal-integrity work for IC design houses, increasingly including the validation of advanced AI silicon. It makes no chips of its own; it is the outside referee that tells designers whether a part will hold up in the field.

Its structural hook is test and burn-in capacity. As AI accelerators grow more complex and get stacked into advanced packages, the cost of a latent defect rises sharply, and independent labs that can prove a design's reliability become a gating step rather than a formality. The model places iST at low centrality because it is a service supplier, not a chokepoint, but its position is defensive: as long as Taiwan designs frontier chips, someone has to verify them, and that work does not travel easily.
