Hana Micron is a Korean OSAT — an outsourced assembly and test house that packages and tests finished silicon for others rather than fabricating it. Its work centres on memory and system-IC packaging for Samsung and SK hynix, the two Korean giants that dominate the memory AI accelerators depend on, with expanding operations in Vietnam and Brazil. In the chain it is a back-end partner: the step where bare chips become usable, tested parts.

The structural point is that packaging capacity has become one of the genuinely tight links in AI, because advanced accelerators and stacked memory demand far more sophisticated back-end work than logic alone. As a producer of that capacity for Korea's memory leaders, Hana Micron rides the same memory cycle. But it is one of several outsourced partners feeding much larger principals, so the model reads it as an exposed enabler rather than a controller of the bottleneck itself.
